What is CSF 2021?

Carpathian Startup Fest 2021 is the first start-up festival in the Podkarpackie region, featuring 140 projects at various stages of development. The event attracted participants ranging from business idea creators to established start-ups and scale-ups. The festival is organized by the Rzeszów Regional Development Agency and the Podkarpackie Science and Technology Park. The main patrons of the event include the Ministry of Funds and Regional Policy and the Marshal of the Podkarpackie Voivodeship.

Unique Categories

At Carpathian Startup Fest 2021, the following categories were highlighted:

1. Start-ups

The Start-ups category featured young companies and projects that are either entering the market or are in the early stages of development. Participants in this category had the opportunity to present their innovative ideas that have the potential to revolutionize various industries. The presentation required a detailed business model, vision for growth, and market entry strategy.

2. Scale-ups

The Scale-ups category included companies that had already achieved a certain level of development and were now focusing on scaling their operations. Participants in this category showcased advanced technological solutions and growth strategies that enable them to expand into new markets and increase operational efficiency. Key elements included presenting results from past activities and future plans.

3. Idea Challenge

The Idea Challenge category evaluated innovative business ideas that were still in the conceptual or prototypical phase. This category was aimed at ideators who are just beginning to realize their projects.

How did the event unfold?

The CSF 2021 festival began with a summary of the Start-Up Platforms: Start In Podkarpackie project, which included our company among other participants, and a panel discussion with the festival's organizers and patrons. Following this, finalists presented their projects in the Start-ups and Scale-ups categories. Meanwhile, idea creators had the opportunity to showcase their business ideas in the Idea Challenge competition. The festival concluded with the announcement of the winners in the competition categories.

Winners of the competition:

GreenTech Solutions (Category: Start-ups)

GreenTech Solutions won first place in the Start-ups category for its innovative technology that converts waste into biofuels. The company has developed an advanced system that allows for efficient and eco-friendly transformation of organic waste into high-quality biofuels, contributing to sustainable development and CO2 emission reduction.

FutureDrive (Category: Scale-ups)

FutureDrive emerged victorious in the Scale-ups category with its advanced electric vehicle fleet management system. The company presented a solution that optimizes costs and minimizes emissions by using modern technologies for efficient fleet management and real-time vehicle monitoring.

EcoPack (Category: Idea Challenge)

In the Idea Challenge competition, EcoPack’s concept was rated highest by the jury. The idea involves producing biodegradable food packaging. The project aims to reduce plastic waste by introducing eco-friendly, easily degradable alternatives to traditional packaging, contributing to environmental protection and promoting sustainable development.

Participating in Carpathian Startup Fest 2021 was not only an opportunity for NativeHash to showcase our project but also a valuable experience and a chance to connect with potential investors and business partners. The festival demonstrated that innovative ideas can gain recognition not only at the local level but also have the potential for broader development. The recognition we received motivates us to continue working on our project and reinforces our belief that we are on the right track. Carpathian Startup Fest 2021 is an event that will undoubtedly influence the further development of innovative initiatives in the region and will be an important fixture in the start-up calendar for Podkarpacie.

Future Plans

Participating in CSF 2021 also allowed us to have direct conversations with key industry figures, which helped us better understand market needs and future trends. We gained valuable insights for the continued development of our project and identified potential partners with whom we plan to continue collaboration. In the future, we plan to use the experience gained to further develop NativeHash and actively participate in future editions of the festival.
