Great news! NativeHash has once again reached the quarterfinals of the Start-up Challenge in the BUSINESS PROCESSES category – Management, analytics, ICT, cybersecurity, logistics, HR. The competition is organized as part of the European Tech and Start-up Days. The results of the competition and the award ceremony for innovative entrepreneurs took place on April 26, 2022, during the European Economic Congress at the International Conference Centre in Katowice.
What is Start-up Challenge 2022?
European Tech and Start-up Days is a unique event aimed at young, innovative entrepreneurs. Moreover, it is held alongside the largest business event in Central Europe – the European Economic Congress. The main highlight of this event is the Start-up Challenge competition. It allows creators of the most interesting business ideas to present their proposals to representatives of large companies and corporations.
Exceptional Competition Categories
This year's competition received nearly 150 applications, which were submitted in five exceptional categories. Each of these reflects key areas of innovation and entrepreneurship that are particularly significant in today's rapidly changing world:
Health & Biotechnology: This category encompassed projects related to modern solutions in medicine, biotechnology, and public health. Innovations in this field could include new medical technologies, gene therapies, advanced diagnostics, or solutions to improve patient quality of life.
Client & Lifestyle: Projects submitted in this category focused on products and services aimed at enhancing the comfort of life and meeting the needs of clients in various aspects of daily living. These could include solutions related to fashion, healthy living, convenience, or personalized user experiences.
Environment: This category concentrated on projects aimed at environmental protection and sustainable development. Innovations in this area might involve technologies related to renewable energy sources, recycling, pollution reduction, or improved natural resource management.
Modern Economy: This category included projects related to modern business models, digital technologies, and economic transformation. This encompasses innovations in fintech, e-commerce, data management, or business process automation.
Business Processes: Projects submitted in this category focused on optimizing and streamlining business processes. These could include solutions for project management, operational efficiency improvement, ERP systems, or tools supporting team collaboration.
From the entire set of submissions, 15 top start-ups were selected for the finals. Each finalist presented their innovative solutions in one of the above categories, and their projects were evaluated based on potential, innovation, and market impact. The finals were not only an opportunity to showcase achievements but also to establish valuable connections with investors and mentors, which could contribute to the further development and success of their ventures.
Thematic Sessions
During this year's European Tech and Start-up Days, topics related to the development of innovative technologies, digitalization, artificial intelligence, digital commerce, and the future direction of investment and innovation funding in the Polish economy will be discussed.

How can advanced technologies assist in sustainable processes in the economy? How do artificial intelligence and the Internet of Things apply to increasing energy efficiency? Green City and digitalization – Green Deal in the digital world.
