Start-up Start-up Challenge Congress

NativeHash Took Part in the 14th European Economic Congress

As we recently informed, the NativeHash platform was in the quarter-finals of the Start-up Challenge competition, organized as an accompanying event of the European Economic Congress. Today we would like to share with you our experience from this year's congress.

About the congress

The European Economic Congress is a three-day event cycle of meetings and discussion panels that takes place annually in Katowice and gathers speakers from Poland, Europe and even all over the world.

The idea of the event, as already well-known tradition, is a chance to meet the creators and leaders of the most interesting Polish and European start-ups who share their knowledge and good practices during open discussion panels. Businesses less known or just starting their way in the economic world have the opportunity to learn from the best when it comes to the good business practices by taking a closer look at particular case studies.

The 14th edition of the major business meeting in Central Europe took place on April 25-27, 2022 in Katowice. 15 thousand contestants, 150 sessions with 1000 speakers - this is how this year's European Economic Congress (EEC) looked like. The main theme of the EEC in Katowice was the war in Ukraine and its economic, political and social consequences for Europe and the world. It is worth mentioning that the agenda of this year's Congress had to be re-arranged two months before the start of the event due to Russia's aggression towards Ukraine, which also completely changed the optics of many economic topics. The war across the eastern border and its repercussions were widely visible during the congress panels.

A few words about the agenda

We, as NativeHash, participated in many events, but due to the type of our business and interest in widely understood influencer marketing with elements of Artificial Intelligence, it is only natural for us to focus on speakers from a similar area, so that we could tell you about two performances that we remembered the most.

The first event on our list was a performance called "Artificial Intelligence". This panel presented the topic of the widely understood area of Artificial Intelligence: using AI in industry, responsibility for the autonomy of machines, modern solutions that are currently trending, the ways to attract the best specialists on the market, and the topic of the high potential of implementing AI solutions in the education sector and public administration was also discussed. The speakers stressed the greatest challenges faced by their companies and discussed the greatest potential for development is for Polish businesses.

Another interesting topic was the marketing of the future. Many interesting issues were raised on this panel, which we are continually going to share with you on our blog. The panel discussed, among other things like; how in the modern business world, where changes are the only constant, effectively reach the client and how to effectively add such innovative solutions as real-time marketing, big data, design thinking and others into our current marketing strategy. There was a lot of discussion about the consumers of the future and what is waiting for us in the marketing of the future - did any revealing conclusions were drawn? - you can follow it on our blog.

Ever since Mark Zuckerberg told the world about the Metaverse, it has been raising the public interest. That is why we were very curious about the "Metaverse - new virtual world" session. During the discussion, Natalia Hatalska, one of the speakers, author of the book "The age of Paradoxes. Will Technology Save Us?" defined the Metaverse as a mirror world, i.e. a digital reflexion of the physical world. Metaverse is a project that can turn the world around. This panel concerned the potential functionalities of the new virtual world: shopping, work, contacts and entertainment. What is the gaming industry saying about that? What new needs and values does the alternative digital world create for us? How we can take advantage of it and what technologies are driving the Metaverse? This and many other interesting topics were discussed during the thematic sessions, so as you can imagine, it was very interesting.
